We have been based in the Vadodara 14 area for quite a long time now. Our place is basically one big kitchen and a storage room for all the decorations and equipment we use for our jobs. If you come by early in the morning, the smell of spices is everywhere in the air. We start very early, usually before the sun is even up, getting the large burners going and prepping all the vegetables. It is a lot of hard physical work and involves standing on our feet for most of the day. The back area of the building is where we keep the tents, chairs, and all the decorative fabrics we own. It is always a bit of a struggle to keep everything clean and organized after a big event, but we manage to get it done. We are not fancy people. We just know how to cook for large crowds and how to set up a space so it looks decent for a family function. Most of the guys working here are family members or have been like family to us for years. We don't have a big front office or a receptionist sitting at a desk. If the phone rings, whoever is closest to it just picks it up and talks. Usually, our hands are busy with something else, so we might be a bit brief on the phone. We have handled all sorts of local events. It is just honest work.
