We are based out of Shop No 3, located at 258/2 in the Belur Industrial Area. The specific spot is S No.92 & 93 in Mammigatti village, over in Garag Hobli. Our company is Yellamma Agro Foods Private Limited. Being in an industrial area means there's always trucks moving around and a lot of noise throughout the day. We don't mind it much because it feels like things are getting done. Our shop is where we handle the food processing and packaging side of things. It’s a practical space with concrete floors and high ceilings to keep it cool. We focus on agro foods, so we deal with a lot of grains and local crops from the nearby farms. The air often smells like whatever we are processing that day, which usually is something like dal or rice. It's hard work and the days are often quite long. We have a few local guys who help with the heavy lifting and loading. Mammigatti is a small place, so everyone knows everyone else’s business. We don't have a fancy office upstairs, just a desk in the corner of the shop where we keep the records. We track everything in big ledgers with a pen. Sometimes the power goes out, but we have a small generator to keep the machines running. We started this to help move local produce to bigger markets. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We spend a lot of time cleaning the equipment to keep things decent and orderly.
