Achave Farmer Producer Company Limited

We're based in the Ankola area, specifically at the Achave post. Our office is on the first floor at No. 591 in Ammanaga Angadibail. It's a very rural spot, quite green and full of trees most of the year. We are a farmer producer company, which basically means a bunch of us local folks got together to try and get some better results for our crops. Being in Uttara Kannada means we deal with a lot of traditional farming stuff every single day. The office isn't hard to find if you're already in the village. We sit there and try to figure out the best ways to sell what we grow without losing out. It is a lot of meetings and just talking to the other local growers about their problems. Sometimes the rain here gets very heavy, so we spend a lot of time inside just planning for the next season. We don't have a website with fancy photos or anything like that. Most of us are just farmers ourselves at heart. We know the ground and the trees better than we know office work. It’s simple work but it takes up almost all our time. We try to help each other out because doing all this alone is just too hard these days. The stairs up to our first-floor office are a bit steep if you aren't used to them. We stay busy with the paperwork mostly, trying to make sure everyone gets a fair deal in the end. It's just a group of people from the village trying to make a go of things.
