Sri Mahasathishwari Travels

We are based in Saligrama, right near the bus stop where it gets pretty crowded during the mornings. Sri Mahasathishwari Travels has been around this part of Udupi for a while now. Most days start with opening up the small office and dusting off the desks before the first few people show up asking about bus timings or car rentals. It is a simple setup here, nothing too fancy, just some chairs and a desk where we keep our logs. Being so close to the bus stop means there is always noise from the engines and people shouting for their stops. We know the roads around here quite well since we spend most of our time driving or talking about driving. Sometimes the weather gets really hot in Udupi, and the ceiling fan in the office just moves the warm air around, but we get by. We handle local trips and sometimes longer ones if someone needs to get to the city or a nearby village. Most of our work comes from people walking in because they saw our sign while waiting for their bus. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly just writing things down in our registers. It is just us working here, trying to keep the vehicles in decent shape so they don't break down on the bumpy backroads. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the area and the people living around Saligrama. It’s a busy life.
