We set up shop in the Rahman Commercial Centre, which is basically right at the Udupi bus stand. If you are looking for us, we are right where all the buses pull in and out. It’s a noisy and crowded area, but that’s exactly why we are here. Most of our work involves helping people with their travel plans, whether they are taking a local bus or something further away. The office stays busy with people coming in to check prices or confirm their seats. We have a lot of papers and ledgers around because things can get hectic when the bus stand is full. You can smell the diesel and hear the conductors shouting from the window. It is a very practical place. We don't have time for a lot of decorations or anything that isn't useful for the job. Our team is usually busy on the phone or talking to someone across the counter. Sometimes we have to deal with delays or changes, and that keeps us on our toes. The building is a bit older, but it’s solid and it’s right in the middle of the action. We’ve been working out of this spot for a long time now. It’s just a normal day of helping travelers get on their way. We open the doors early and stay until the evening rush starts to die down.
