Our office is in the Kaniyoor Mutt Building on Car Street in Udupi. If you know where the Syndicate Bank ATM is, we are right near there. Car Street is a very traditional part of town, and being in a building owned by the Mutt feels right for us. It is a busy area, especially during festival times or when there are processions. The building has that old style to it, which we like. We handle a lot of travel arrangements here at Saralaya Tours & Travels. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who walk in off the street. Since we are in 576101, we get a lot of locals who have known us for years. The space is a bit cramped with all the paperwork and files we keep, but we know where everything is. There is always a bit of a breeze coming through the window, which helps during the humid months. We don't have a big corporate sign, just a simple one so people can find us. It’s a family-run sort of feeling even though we have staff. We don't bother with fancy marketing or anything like that. People come to us because they know we are here on Car Street every day. It is just a steady, honest business. Sometimes the stray cows wander past the door, which is just part of the local scenery.
