Rohit Art

Rohit Art is tucked away at 76 Jogiwara in the Bapu Bazar area. If you know Bapu Bazar, you know it’s always crowded and full of life. We’ve been in this spot for a good while now. Our shop isn't very big, but it’s packed with things. We do a bit of everything related to art, whether it’s some painting work, framing, or just selling supplies to students and local artists. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with scraps of wood and paint containers lying around, but that’s just how an art shop is. We don't have a big staff, it’s mostly just us working with our hands. People come in with old photos they want framed or they want a specific kind of board for a project. We talk through what they want and try to get it done. We don't use any high-pressure sales tactics. If we can do it, we say so, and if we can't, we tell them that too. The light in the shop isn't always perfect, but we make do. Being in Jogiwara means we see all sorts of people walking by every day. It’s a busy life, but it’s good to be working in a creative way. We just keep our heads down and focus on the pieces we are working on. It’s simple, honest work in the middle of a busy market. We enjoy seeing what people create and helping them out with their supplies or finishing touches.
