Beyond Square (Ethnic Art Gallery )

We’ve been here at Beyond Square for a while now, right near the Sukher Bypass on N.H.8 in Bhuwana. It’s a busy spot with all the traffic going past, but inside the gallery, things stay a bit quieter. Most days start with dusting off the statues and checking on the new ethnic pieces that came in the week before. We have a lot of traditional art spread out across the floors. It isn't always perfectly organized because new stuff arrives and we just find a spot for it. People stop by when they’re driving through or if they’re looking for something specific for their house. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks about where the wood or stone came from. The light in the gallery gets really nice in the late afternoon, which is usually when we get the most work done. Sometimes the noise from the highway is a bit much, but you get used to it after a few months. We don't have a big fancy staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you're looking for us, look for the big sign near the bypass. It’s a bit of a dusty road out front, but it’s easy enough to find. We just keep things moving, making sure the pieces are handled right and that the local artists get their work shown. It’s a simple way to spend the day, surrounded by all this old-style craft.
