Leela Regency Hotel

We are located at 228/A in the Ambamata Scheme area of Udaipur. If you know this part of Rajasthan, you know it can get quite hot and dusty. Our hotel is just a regular building among others. We started this place because we had the space and thought it would be a good way to work for ourselves. We don't have a big team of people in uniforms. It's usually just me and a couple of helpers who keep the rooms clean. We spend a lot of time washing linens and making sure the bathrooms are okay. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the main tourist spots, which is nice if you want to actually sleep. Sometimes the monkeys on the roof make a bit of noise, but that’s just part of living here. We don't offer any fancy meals or big tours. We just give people a key and a place to put their bags. The stairs are a bit steep, so we always tell people to watch their step. My wife helps with the cooking sometimes if someone is really hungry, but mostly we just let people do their own thing. It's a straightforward business. We like meeting different people from all over, but at the end of the day, we’re just running a small hotel in a busy city. We hope the fans stay on when the power fluctuates, and we keep extra candles in the drawer just in case.
