Hotel Shiv Niwas Palace

Hotel Shiv Niwas Palace is tucked away at 18 Anand Vihar, Gali No. 2 in the Takri area of Udaipur. To find us, you have to head down Madri Road. It is not right in the middle of the noisy tourist spots, which some people seem to like. The building belongs to Suresh Gothwal and has been part of this little street for some time. Inside, things are kept simple. We have the usual rooms and the staff tries to keep everything tidy, though it is an older place with its own quirks. Sometimes the plumbing makes a bit of noise or the stairs creak, but that is just how it is. We are located in the 313001 pin code area of Rajasthan, and most of our neighbors are regular families or small shops. Living and working here means you see the same people every day. We don't have a big fancy lobby with gold trimmings. Instead, we have a small desk and a few chairs where people can sit while they check in. It is a practical place for staying over if you are in Udaipur for work or just passing through. The street can be a bit narrow, so bringing a big car in takes some skill. We just do our best to make sure the beds are made and the fans are working. It is an honest living for us here in Anand Vihar, away from the big crowds.
