Cafe Hill Park Hotel

Being up near Doodh Talai in Udaipur is actually interesting because of the breeze. Cafe Hill Park Hotel is located right by the MLV Park and the Sunset Point. It’s a part of town where people come to relax and look at the water or the hills. We get a lot of people who are tired from walking up the paths. They sit down and just want something cold to drink. The building itself is straightforward. We have the hotel rooms and then the cafe area where everyone gathers. It’s not like those fancy big places; it’s more grounded and simple. We spend a lot of time looking out at the park. The sunset brings in the biggest crowd. Once the sun starts going down, we are basically running around trying to keep up with the orders. During the day it is much quieter, so we use that time to fix things around the property or clean the kitchen thoroughly. Udaipur has a lot of visitors, and running a business here means dealing with a lot of different expectations. We just try to keep things honest and clear for whoever walks in. The staff lives nearby, so we are all locals who know the area well. It’s a good life, even if the stairs to the sunset point make our legs tired by the end of the shift.
