Institute Of Hotel Management And Catering, Udaipur (Raj.)

We are tucked away behind the Luv Kush Stadium in Udaipur. Our office and classrooms are in the Mahila Parishad Building right by Chetak Circle. It’s a very central part of town, so there is always something going on outside. Being the Institute Of Hotel Management And Catering here in Rajasthan, we have a lot of history in this building. It’s not a modern glass tower or anything. It’s an older place with a lot of character and maybe a few drafts in the winter. We teach people how to cook and manage hotels, so the hallways often smell like spices or cleaning supplies. Students come from all over to study with us. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just show up, open the kitchens, and get to work. Chetak Circle is always busy, which makes it easy for the students to get here, but the parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We share the space with other things, so you have to walk through the main building to find us. It feels like a small community inside. We spend our days grading papers, watching over the cooking stations, and making sure everyone knows their way around a dining room. It's honest work and we've been doing it for a while.
