Hotel Manwar & Restaurant

If you find yourself on Trident Road near Malla Talai, you’ll see our sign. We are at C-18, right in the Hari Das ji ki magri area. Hotel Manwar & Restaurant is a small place, really. We have some rooms and we serve food to anyone who walks in. Udaipur is a beautiful city, but our corner is a bit away from the crowded lakefront, which some people prefer. It’s more of a neighborhood vibe here. The restaurant serves basic Rajasthani food, nothing too fancy, just what we know how to cook well. My cousins and I handle most of the work. The building itself is quite plain. We have a few floors and the view from the top is alright; you can see the hills if the day is clear. We don't have a big lobby or a concierge. If you need something, you just ask whoever is behind the desk at the time. Sometimes we run out of certain items on the menu if the market was closed or if we had a busy lunch. It’s just the way it goes. People staying here are usually looking for a cheap place that isn't right in the middle of the noise. We keep the beds clean and the fans working. That’s about all we promise. It’s a straightforward life running a small hotel like this.
