Hotel Haridarshan

Our place, Hotel Haridarshan, is situated at 37 Gulab Bagh. It is pretty close to Gulabi Bagh here in Udaipur. We are just a small group of people working here to keep the rooms in order. It is not a very big operation, just a local hotel where we know most of the neighbors. The street is usually quiet enough, though you get the occasional scooter buzzing past at odd hours. We spend a lot of our time making sure the linens are washed and the floors are swept. I usually sit at the entrance to greet whoever comes in. There are some regulars who come back every year when the weather gets nice. It is a basic building, nothing too flashy or modern. We have been here for some years now and have seen the area change quite a bit. A big corporate office or a team of managers? We don't have any of that. It is just me, a couple of cleaners, and the guy who helps with the bags. A few plants out front are there, and we try our best to keep them alive. If you are coming to see the gardens nearby, we are in a good spot for that. We just do what we can to make sure the lights stay on and the water is warm enough for a shower. It is just a regular life here running a hotel in 313001.
