Hotel Gajraj

You can find us in Udaipur, specifically in the Sardarpura area on Meera Marg. We are right near the Allahabad Bank. It’s a handy spot if you’re doing business in this part of town. Hotel Gajraj is a modest place. We don’t have those fancy features you see in the lakeside resorts. Our rooms are plain and simple. Each one has the usual things like a bed and a cupboard. We don’t have a big staff working here. It’s mostly family members and one or two local helpers. Mornings are spent cleaning the hallway and making sure there’s fresh water for the day. The neighborhood is full of small businesses. You’ll hear scooters and cars passing by all day. It’s a very lively place. We don't provide meals ourselves, but many tea stalls and small eateries are just nearby. We don't have a website with professional photos. What you see when you walk in is exactly what you get. Some rooms have seen better days, but they are alright for a night's stay. There isn't a big fancy sign outside, just the name above the door. People find us because they have work at the bank or in the market. We don't do any real advertising. We just wait for people to stop by. It’s a very simple way to run a business. We focus on the basics and that seems to work for everyone who comes through our door.
