Hotel Ankur

Hotel Ankur is tucked away a bit on Gurudwara Marg, right near Shastri Circle. If you’re looking for us, we are basically behind the Ashok Hotel on Alka Hotel Road. It’s a decent little spot in the 313001 zip code area. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the shopkeepers around the circle by name. The hotel isn't huge, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. We handle everything ourselves, from answering the phone to making sure the hallways are clear. Usually, guests come here because they want to stay somewhere that isn't right on the main noisy road but still close enough to walk to things. The rooms are plain, which is fine for most folks who just need a spot to crash for the night. We spend a lot of time on maintenance, fixing leaky taps or changing lightbulbs when they go out. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, but we try to get it working again quickly. People find us helpful because we know the shortcuts around the neighborhood. We don’t have a big lobby or anything like that, just a small desk and some chairs. It’s a quiet life most days, except for when there's a festival nearby. We just focus on keeping the place running and making sure the door is locked at night for safety. It’s just a regular local hotel for regular people.
