Hermitage Inn

We have been running Hermitage Inn over here on Hospital Road for a while now. The building is part of Bapna House and it stays fairly busy because of where we are located in the 313001 area. Most days start early with checking on the rooms and making sure everything is in order for whoever is coming through. It is not a very fancy place, just a regular building where people stay when they have things to do in this part of town. You can see the traffic moving along Hospital Road from the front. We spend a lot of time just keeping up with the maintenance since old buildings always need something fixed. The staff usually knows the regulars by name and we mostly just focus on the daily chores like laundry and cleaning the floors. Sometimes the weather gets quite hot here, so we try to keep the lobby cool. It's just a normal job for us, really. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It is just the few of us working shifts to make sure someone is always at the desk. People come here for all sorts of reasons, many related to the nearby medical facilities, so things stay pretty quiet at night. We just try to keep the place tidy and functional for everyone. There is always a list of things to do, from fixing a leaky tap to updating the registers. It takes a lot of effort to keep an old inn going, but we just take it one day at a time without much complaining.
