Hariom Bhojnalya

If you are driving down the Bye Pass Chouraha in Udaipur, you will find Hariom Bhojnalya right there near the junction. It is a simple place where we serve people passing through Bhatewar and Ballabh Nagar. The location is quite busy because of the highway traffic and there is always a bit of dust in the air from the road. We keep the benches scrubbed down and the water jugs filled for anyone stopping by. Being at the Udaipur Ho area means we get a lot of truck drivers and families traveling long distances who just want a hot plate of food. The kitchen stays open late most nights because you never know when a bus might stop. It gets really warm inside during the summer months but we have the ceiling fans going as fast as they can. We do not have a fancy printed menu, just the usual items we cook fresh every morning and evening. Our address is a bit of a mouthful with the whole Ballabh Nagar Udaipur Ho part but most locals just know us by the chouraha. We spend a lot of our time just chopping vegetables and making sure the tea is brewing right. It is hard work running a bhojnalya on the bypass but we are used to the noise and the constant movement of vehicles outside our front door.
