DSB RESTAURANT in Udaipur. We are out at New Market, specifically Shop No 16-17. It’s on the main Jhamar Kotda Road. It’s a bit away from the main tourist lakes and all that, which we like. This is where the real work happens in Dharamtallai Umarda. The road is always dusty with trucks and bikes going past. We started this place because we saw a lot of people working nearby who needed a place to sit and eat. It’s a practical setup. Two shops combined into one to give a bit more space. The Rajasthan sun can be tough, so we make sure the shade is good. We serve the kind of food we eat at home. Nothing too oily or strange. Just basic stuff that fills you up. My cousin handles the front and I stay in the back mostly. We don't have a big menu, just what we can cook well every day. It’s a bit of a walk from the main city, but the locals know where we are. We don’t spend much on advertising because the word spreads anyway. If the food is good, people come back. That’s the only thing we really focus on. It’s a quiet life when the lunch rush is over and we can finally sit down for a minute ourselves. We aren't looking to expand or become a big chain. We just like our spot on Jhamar Kotda Road.
