Chawlas Red Chilli

Out here in Udaipur, specifically the OTC Scheme area, you will find Chawlas Red Chilli. We are located at 584, right opposite Aravali Hospital and near Hotel Shereton. This part of Udaipur Ho gets a mix of tourists and locals passing through. Our restaurant isn't one of those lakeside places for photos. It’s just an honest spot where we cook. The name says Red Chilli, and we do use plenty of spices in our kitchen. You can usually hear the onions sizzling if you stand near the back. The staff spends their whole day preparing the gravies and making sure we have enough supplies from the market. It gets quite warm in the dining area when the sun is out, but we do what we can with the cooling. We are just regular people running a business. We don't have a fancy mission statement or polished brochures. We just show up, open the doors, and start the stoves. Some days are slower than others, especially when it’s very hot outside, but we stay open regardless. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but we’re still here in the same spot. It is a lot of repetitive work, like cleaning tables and washing dishes, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. We just serve the food and hope people find it okay for their lunch or dinner. No more, no less.
