Sri Durga Salt Traders

Sri Durga Salt Traders is located at 96, C.G.E. Colony. It’s a quiet residential-feeling area, so having a salt business here makes us stand out a little. We have a lot of white sacks piled up most of the time. Salt is heavy, so there is a lot of lugging things around the storage space. The floors usually have a bit of a crunch to them because a little salt always escapes the bags. We’ve been at this for a while, and the routine hasn't changed much over the years. We wait for the shipments to come in, then we sort them out and get them ready for the local shops or whoever is buying that week. It's dusty work and can be hard on the hands, but it’s what we do. The office part is just a small corner with a table and a couple of chairs where we keep the ledger books. We don't use many fancy computers for the records, just pens and paper mostly. C.G.E. Colony is a decent place to be, and the people around here are used to seeing our trucks pull in. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just trade salt and make sure the bags get to the right people at the right time. The sun hits the front of the building in the afternoon, making it a bit warm, but we don't mind much. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy every week.
