H.Bilal & Co

Our office is at 71/35 in Mohamed Sadalipuram. It is a quiet enough area compared to the main city markets, but we still have our fair share of movement. H. Bilal & Co is basically just a few of us working out of a ground-floor space. We have been here for years and the neighbors all know us by name. The building is older and has that specific smell of old paper and stone. We do not have a receptionist or a big sign outside, just a small board so people know they found the right door. We spend most of our time going through orders and making sure the accounts are right. It is mostly manual work, even though we have a computer in the corner that we use sometimes. The fan overhead makes a clicking noise that we have stopped noticing after all this time. We usually eat lunch together in the back room where it is a bit cooler. Mohamed Sadalipuram is a nice place to work because it feels like a community. We see the same people walking by every morning. We do not try to act bigger than we are. We just take the orders as they come and try to be helpful when someone calls with a question. It is a steady life and we are not looking to change much. We just want to keep the business running like it always has, one day at a time. It is about being reliable.
