Varin International Residential School

We are out here at Doddahosur Gate on the Kunigal Road in Tumkur. Specifically, we are in Gulur, which is a bit of a distance from the main city buzz. The address is 572118 for those who need to mail us things. Varin International Residential School has been sitting here for a while. Since it’s a residential place, students live here with us. That means the work never really stops. Even at night, there is someone on duty. We have dorms and a dining hall and the usual classrooms. It’s a big piece of land, which is nice because there is plenty of air and space to walk. We get a lot of wind coming off the road. The building is solid, though it needs a bit of paint here and there. We don’t have a lot of fancy gadgets. We focus on the books and making sure the kids eat their meals. Life here is pretty structured. You wake up, you eat, you go to class. In the evenings, there is some time for the students to be outside. Being on Kunigal Road means we see a lot of trucks passing by, but the school itself is set back far enough that it’s not too loud. It’s a simple life for the staff and the students. We just keep the routine going day after day without making much of a fuss. It's just what we do.
