Kalapataru Institute of Technology is situated in Tiptur. It’s a fairly large site compared to some of the smaller shops around here. We have several buildings that have been put up at different times, so the architecture doesn’t all match. Some of the older wings have thick walls that stay cool, while the newer parts feel a bit more open. There’s a lot of concrete and paved walkways connecting the different departments. We don’t have a lot of decorative plants or anything, just some trees that provide a bit of shade in the parking area. The labs are filled with equipment that has been used by many students over the years, so things might look a bit worn, but everything is kept in working order. The students spend a lot of time walking between the lecture halls and the library. During the exam season, the whole place gets very quiet, but normally there is a constant hum of people talking in the corridors. We have a canteen where everyone goes to get tea or a quick snack between their classes. It’s not a fancy cafe, just a counter with some benches. The staff keeps track of the schedules on big boards in the main hallway. People from all over Tiptur know the location because it’s been a landmark for quite some time now. It’s a practical place where people come to put in their hours and learn what they need for their future.
