Union Christian College

Union Christian College is right here at Siragate in Tumkur. It’s been sitting on this spot for quite a while now. You can see the main gate from the road. Most days, the place is just busy with people coming in from different parts of Karnataka. It’s not a very quiet area because of all the traffic outside. Inside the walls, though, things move at their own pace. We have the usual classrooms and some trees that give decent shade during the hot afternoons. The buildings show their age a bit, but they still work fine for what we need. People mostly know us as the college near the gate. It's a simple setup. There isn't anything fancy about the hallways or the benches. Sometimes the water coolers act up or the lights flicker in the older wings. That’s just how it is. Students hang around the canteen area when they aren't in class. You see a lot of bicycles parked near the entrance. In the rainy season, the ground gets a bit muddy, so everyone has to watch their step. We don't have a huge staff, but everyone knows where things are kept. It's just a regular place where people come to study and then go home. Nothing more to it really. If you walk past Siragate, you can’t miss the sign. It’s been there for years and hasn't changed much.
