S. A. G. Stones

Our place is located at F-137 in the Deoli Riico Industrial Area. It’s a noisy part of town, but that’s normal for where stones are processed. I’ve been working with stones for a lot of my life. It’s what my father did and what I ended up doing too. We don’t have a flashy showroom. It’s just the yard and the equipment we use to get things done. Most mornings start with a cup of tea and looking at the orders for the day. Then it’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the cutters are running right. Deoli is known for this kind of work, so we have plenty of neighbors doing the same thing. We just focus on our own corner of the lot. Some days the machines act up and we have to spend hours fixing them. It’s frustrating but it’s part of the life. We deal with whatever stone comes in and try to get it out the door on time. I don’t use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just work with stone. If you’re coming through the industrial area, you’ll find us. We aren't hard to spot. It’s just hard, honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes even Sunday if there's a lot to do. We don't really have a break during the busy season, but that is just how it goes. Every slab that leaves here is something we worked on ourselves.
