Thanam Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Udumalpet in the Tiruppur district. Our office is on Advocate Nagarajan Street, specifically at number 6. If you know this area, you know it's a hub for farming activity. We aren't a big city firm with shiny glass windows. Instead, we work from this street where things are a bit more quiet but always moving. People around here in Coimbatore and Tiruppur take their agriculture seriously. We started this because the farmers needed a way to organize better. It’s mostly just us handling the day-to-day paperwork and meeting with local growers who come by to talk about their produce. The building on Advocate Nagarajan Street isn't hard to find if you are looking for it. We spend a lot of time talking to people from the nearby fields. Sometimes the rain helps us, sometimes it doesn't, and that’s the main topic of conversation most mornings over tea. There are no fancy titles here. We just try to make sure things run smoothly for everyone involved in the company. It’s a group effort by people who have lived in Udumalpet for a long time. We know the soil and the local market quite well. Working out of this small office lets us stay close to the actual farms, which is what matters. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day without much fuss.
