Velan Greenfields

We’ve got our place at number 41 on Kangayam Road. It’s a fairly straightforward spot to find, just a building along the main stretch where the traffic is always moving toward the center of town. Velan Greenfields is the name on the gate, though the gate itself could use a bit of oil because it squeaks every time someone comes in. The office is mostly just one big room where we have all our stuff set up. It’s not a fancy place with partitions or a lobby. We have some old wooden tables and chairs that have been with us since we started. The walls have some maps pinned to them and a few calendars from previous years that we haven't taken down. Most of our time is spent out back or on the phone. It gets quite warm in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the building, so we usually have the fans going full blast. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how everything works. We usually bring our own tiffins for lunch and eat together while we talk about the news or what's happening on the road. It’s a simple way to live and work. We don't have any promotional flyers or big advertisements. People mostly know us by word of mouth or by just seeing the sign as they drive past. It’s a practical, honest little business.
