Tdta Middle School

Down in Manjuvilai, which is part of Thangachimadam, you will find Tdta Middle School. It is a local spot in the Tirunelveli area and it has a very quiet, village feel to it. Most of the kids who come here live just a short walk away. We are not a very big school, just a middle school handling the middle years of education. The building is simple and sits among the trees and the local houses. You can usually hear the birds or the wind more than the traffic, which is a nice change from the bigger towns. The day starts early here, and you can see the students coming down the dirt paths in their uniforms. It is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s parents and even their grandparents. We have been here for quite some time, and the building shows its age in a few spots, but it serves its purpose. Inside, the classrooms are basic. We don't have a lot of high-tech stuff, just the usual benches and blackboards. The teachers are local people too, so they understand the kids and where they are coming from. It is a very honest way to run a school. We just try to get the kids through their lessons and help them grow up a bit before they move on to the bigger high schools further away. It is just a regular part of life here in Thangachimadam.
