Little Flower Public School

Little Flower Public School is tucked away in the Palayapettai area of Tirunelveli. If you know Gandhi Nagar, we are right in that neighborhood. The mornings here are always a bit chaotic because of the narrow streets and all the cycles and scooters. We usually start the day by getting the classrooms ready. The dust from the road sometimes settles on the desks, so there is a lot of cleaning involved every single morning. Tirunelveli gets incredibly hot during the summer months, so we try to keep the children indoors as much as possible. Our building has been here for some time, and it has that old school feel to it with high ceilings and heavy doors. You can hear the sounds of the local market nearby if the wind is blowing the right way. We have a lot of students from different parts of the city, not just Palayapettai. The staff rooms are always filled with notebooks and half-finished tea cups. It is a very busy place, especially during the exam times or when there is a local festival going on. We don't have a lot of modern decorations, just the basic things needed for a school. The address is easy to remember since everyone knows the Gandhi Nagar landmark. By four o'clock, the place starts emptying out and the silence feels quite strange after all the shouting and running that happens during the day. That's just how things go here.
