Jesus School Excellence

Our school is situated on Radhapuram Road in Vadakkangulam. It’s a part of the Tirunelveli district, so we get that warm, breezy weather most of the year. The building is a simple structure that has been painted a few different colors over the decades. We have a courtyard in the middle where the students gather for prayers and announcements. It’s not a fancy place with high-tech equipment in every room, but we have what we need to teach the kids properly. Most of the teachers live in the village or just a short bus ride away. We see the parents at the local shops and the church, so everyone knows everyone else’s business. The classrooms have high ceilings which help with the heat, though the birds sometimes fly in and nest in the rafters. We have to chase them out every now and then. The playground is mostly sand and some patches of grass that struggle to grow. We don't have any big marketing plans; word of mouth is how most people find us. It’s a quiet life here, away from the big cities. We just focus on the books and making sure the students behave themselves. Sometimes the afternoon sun hits the desks just right and everyone gets a bit sleepy, but we push through until the final bell rings at four o'clock. It’s just how things go for us every day in Vadakkangulam.
