Sathana Vidyalaya

Sathana Vidyalaya is located out in Kadayanallur, specifically in the Bala Arunachala Puram area. Being in Tenkasi, we get that nice breeze from the hills sometimes, but mostly it is just work as usual for us. The school is at 231/3 and it is easy to find if you are local. We have kids coming in from the nearby houses and even some from the further parts of the village. It is a simple setup here with basic classrooms and a yard for the children to run around in during their breaks. We don't have a lot of the high-tech stuff you see in the big cities, but we have teachers who actually care about whether the kids are learning their lessons. You will see a lot of bicycles parked out front because that is how most of the older ones get here. The morning assembly is usually the quietest time of the day before the classes start and the shouting begins. We have some trees in the corner that give a bit of shade where the kids sit and eat their tiffins. Life moves at a bit of a slower pace in this part of Tenkasi, and our school reflects that. We just focus on the daily routine of teaching and making sure the school stays clean. It’s a plain, honest place for education and we like it that way. Most families here have known us for a long time.
