Down on Big Street in Melapalayam, you will find us at No 92. Haji Thadivalla Catering Service has been part of this community for quite some time now. Melapalayam is a place with a lot of life, and Big Street is usually where most of the action is. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we can fit our large cooking pots and all the supplies we need for the week. We spend a lot of time sourcing the right ingredients because that is the most important part of what we do. The kitchen gets very hot, and the work is physically demanding, especially when we are preparing food for hundreds of people at once. We don't have a polished sales pitch or a fancy office to meet clients in. Usually, folks just stop by the shop and talk to us about what they need for their upcoming event. Our staff are hard workers who don't mind getting their hands dirty. We have a routine that works for us, even if it looks a bit disorganized to an outsider. There is always someone cleaning something or prepping meat and vegetables in the back. We just stick to what we know and try to get the food out on time. It is a local business run by local people who understand how things work around here. We don't change much because the way we do things seems to work just fine.
