Vijay Steels is located at 6-129 in Geetha Nagar. We are right on the Vayalur Main Road in the Tennur area. If you’re looking for us, we are directly opposite the Indian Oil petrol pump. It’s a very busy road, so there is always a lot of noise from the bikes and buses passing by. We deal in steel, which is heavy and takes a lot of muscle to move around. We have all sorts of rods and beams stacked up. It’s not a fancy showroom; it’s more of a working yard where things get moved and cut. The guys working here have been at it for a while, so they know how to handle the weight. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit mixed up, and we have to spend a Saturday morning straightening everything out. It’s just the way it goes. We don't really do much advertising. People usually see us when they are filling up their tanks across the street and then they stop in. Being on Vayalur Main Road means we get a lot of traffic too. We just try to keep the steel out of the rain so it doesn't rust up too much. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty within five minutes of starting, but it’s a living. We’ve been part of this Tennur neighborhood for a good while now and we don't plan on going anywhere else.
