We are based out of the Chakkra Apartment near the No. 1 Tolgate area in Trichy. It’s not your typical giant warehouse setup. We handle the steel business from here, mostly coordinating things and making sure the loads get to where they need to go in Tamil Nadu. The traffic around the Tolgate can be a bit much in the mornings so we usually start our calls early. It’s a busy spot. We don't have any flashy signs or a showroom. It’s just us working through the day. Sometimes neighbors ask what we are doing with all the paperwork and the phone calls. We just tell them it's steel. It’s a simple operation really. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers and customers. The room gets a bit stuffy in the afternoon heat but the fan helps a little. We’ve been in this part of Trichy for a bit now and know the local roads well. If a delivery is stuck, we usually know why. There isn't much to say about the office itself. It’s got a couple of chairs and a lot of ledgers. We prefer it this way because it keeps things straightforward. No one here wears a suit. We just get the job done and try to stay out of the way of the other residents in the building. It’s quiet enough for us to focus when the main road isn't too loud with horns.
