Universal Steel And Tools Co

Our shop, Universal Steel And Tools Co, is over at 73 Melapudur Main Road in the Cantonment area. It’s a pretty busy street, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. We have a lot of heavy stuff sitting around, so you have to be careful where you step when you walk in. The shelves are packed with all sorts of tools and steel pieces that we’ve collected over the years. Some of it has a little bit of rust on the edges, but it’s all solid. We aren't the type to wear uniforms or have fancy badges. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to us for a long time. They know we don't do much in the way of talking; we just get them what they need and write it down in the ledger. The floor is concrete and stays cold, which is nice when it’s hot outside. We don’t have air conditioning or anything like that, just a few old fans that wobble a bit. It’s a simple way to make a living. We don’t have any big plans to expand or move to a bigger city. We like it here in the Cantonment. It’s home for us and it’s where our families are. We just take it one day at a time and see what happens. It keeps us busy enough for now.
