Our business is located at number 5 on the Trichy Kitchipalayam Main Road. It is a busy stretch of road, which is good for getting trucks in and out. We deal mainly in steel tubes of various shapes and sizes. The warehouse is a big open space with a tin roof that gets very loud when it rains. We spend a lot of our time measuring pipes and cutting them down for customers who only need a specific length for their work. It is dirty work and your hands are usually covered in black grime by the end of the day. We have a small office tucked in the corner where we keep our files and a computer that is a bit slow. My partner handles the sales and I look after the stock and the guys working the floor. It is not a polished operation, but we get the orders out. Sometimes the traffic on Kitchipalayam Road makes it hard for the big trailers to turn into our gate, which causes a bit of a scene with the other drivers. We have lived in Trichy all our lives, so we know how things work around here. We don't bother with fancy brochures or anything like that. People just come in, tell us what they need for their project, and we load it up. It is straightforward, hard work and we are fine with that. It keeps us busy.
