Down at 102 Shiva Shanmugapuram, you’ll find Rajeshwari Steels. We are in A Block on Bricklin Road in the Otteri area. If you know where the Saravana Balaji Cinema Hall is near Perambur Barracks, we’re not too far from there. Our place is full of metal—rods, sheets, and pipes of all different sizes. It’s a heavy business, and the sound of steel clanging together is something we hear all day long. The shop isn't fancy at all. It’s mostly just a large space to store the inventory and a small corner for us to sit and handle the billing. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for years, and we know most of the local contractors and builders who come by for their supplies. Dealing with steel is tough work, and it’s usually pretty dirty by the end of the day. We don't try to dress it up or act like we’re something we’re not. We just sell steel and try to make sure we have what people are looking for in stock. Sometimes the traffic on Bricklin Road makes it hard to load the trucks, but we manage. We aren't into big sales pitches or corporate branding. It’s just us, the metal, and the customers who have been coming to us for years. It’s a simple business model, and we like the directness of it. You need steel, we have it, and we get it weighed and loaded for you.
