Orissa State Bridge School

Our office is on the second floor of the Devi Building in T Pudupatty. It’s a quiet area of Trichy compared to the city center. You have to walk up the stairs to find us. We spend most of our time at our desks or talking to people who come by to ask about the school. The Devi Building is pretty well known around here, so we don't usually have to give people long directions. It’s a practical setup with just enough room for the staff and the records we keep. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. The walls are mostly bare except for a few calendars and some notices we’ve pinned up over the months. Most of us take our lunch breaks together in the small room near the back. Life at Orissa State Bridge School is mostly about the routine of paperwork and making sure the local kids are getting what they need. We don't worry about sounding professional or having a big image. We just care about getting the work done right each day. Sometimes it gets a bit hot on the second floor when the sun hits the roof, but we have the fans going all afternoon. It is just a normal job in a normal part of Trichy. We are here from the morning until the evening, just keeping the bridge school going as best as we can. There is always someone here to answer questions if the door is open.
