Raj Vidya Bhavan Matriculation Higher Secondary School sits out on Attur Road. We are located in Thuraiyur, which is a bit of a drive from the main part of Trichy but it's a good spot for a school. The buildings have been here for years and they've seen a lot of kids come through. Every morning the buses pull in and the place fills up with noise. It’s a lot of work keeping a school running, from the classrooms to the playground area. We have students from all over the local area. Some walk, some take the bus. The staff stays pretty busy with all the paperwork and making sure the lessons are on track. It’s not a quiet place, that’s for sure. Thuraiyur is a nice community and we feel like a big part of it. We don't really do the whole fancy marketing thing. We just focus on the day-to-day stuff that needs doing. There’s always something to fix or a meeting to have. The heat on Attur Road can get quite intense in the afternoons, but the kids don't seem to mind much. We’ve got the regular subjects and the usual school routines. It’s just a place where learning happens every day. People around here know us well. We’ve been a fixture on this road for quite some time now and we plan to stay that way for a while. We just do our work and look after the students as best as we can.
