St Andrews Matric Hr Sec. School

Our school is situated in Thirumandurai, which is part of the Perambalur district. We’ve been here for a while, serving the families in this part of the state. It’s a matriculation school, so we follow the standard curriculum that everyone else does. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular structure with enough rooms for all the grades. We have a lot of kids coming in from the villages nearby. Some come by bus and others get dropped off by their parents. In the morning, we have a short assembly where everyone stands together before classes start. The teachers here are quite dedicated, even though we don't have all the latest gadgets. We have a small lab for science experiments and a few computers for the students to use. Perambalur can be a bit of a dry and dusty place, so we spend a lot of time keeping the classrooms clean. During the lunch break, the schoolyard is full of kids running around and eating their food. We don't have any big marketing slogans. We just try to make sure the students learn what they need to know for their exams. It’s a simple life here, and we focus on the daily routine of teaching and learning. Most of our students go on to bigger towns for their higher studies after finishing here.
