You can find us at 142 Sungu Pettai, right on the Thuraiyurperambalur Road. It’s a busy spot since the road is a main one and there are always buses going by. We have been operating here in Perambalur for a good number of years. The school building is right there on the road, so it’s easy to spot for anyone visiting. We have kids coming in from all the nearby villages and different parts of the town. Inside, it’s just rows of classrooms. We have the usual wooden desks and chairs that have been there for a while. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we have enough windows to let the breeze in from the outside. We don't have any big corporate backing or anything like that. It’s a local school run by people who actually live here. We just go through the matriculation books and help the students prepare for their exams. There is always something to fix, like a leaky tap or a squeaky door that won't close. That’s just part of having a school building. The staff room is small but we fit everyone in for tea. We have a routine that we've followed for a long time. It’s not a place with a lot of bells and whistles. We just focus on the lessons and getting things done. The students are generally good and they listen to the teachers. We see them grow up from year to year as they move through the grades. It’s just how it is here in Perambalur.
