New English School For Girls

We are located at 245/237, Keezhaadaivalanjan Street, right in the heart of Srirangam. This school for girls has been part of the Trichy landscape for a good number of years now. It’s a pretty simple building, nothing too flashy. Every morning, you’ll see the girls walking down the street or being dropped off by their parents. The traffic on our road can get a bit tight, especially around 8:30 in the morning when everyone is trying to get to work or school at the same time. Inside, we have basic classrooms with wooden desks and blackboards. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, so the ceiling fans are always humming during the hotter months. The staff is mostly people from around here who have been with us for a long time. We know the families and we know the kids. There isn’t a massive playground, but there’s enough space for the girls to stand around and talk during their lunch breaks. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure the syllabus is finished before the exams come around. Sometimes the roof leaks a tiny bit when the monsoon is heavy, but we get it fixed as soon as we can. It’s just a normal, local school where we try our best to keep things running smoothly for everyone involved. We don't spend much on big signs or anything like that. People know us because we’ve been here. It’s a quiet life most of the time.
