N R Public School

N R Public School is located right in Udayarpalaym, Jayamkondan. If you walk down the main road, you can't miss it. It's a solid building with a decent playground. Most of the teachers have been here for years, so everyone knows each other. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. The classrooms have big windows, though sometimes we need to pull the blinds when the sun hits. It’s a busy place with kids from all over the area. We have a small office where we keep the registers and files. Everything is mostly done on paper, which keeps us busy. During the breaks, the noise from the kids playing outside carries across the street. We’ve got a few benches under the trees where people sit. It’s not a quiet place, that’s for sure. Jayamkondan is a small enough town that you run into parents at the market. We talk about how the term is going or if a kid needs a new uniform. The gate needs a fresh coat of paint soon. We just try to keep things running smooth day to day. There's always a bit of dust because of the road, but we sweep every morning. It's just a regular school doing its thing in our community. Nothing too complicated about it. We just open up and do the work that needs doing every single weekday morning for the benefit of the local families here.
