Kay Pee Dies & Tools

We’re over at D-16 in the industrial area on Meerut Road. It’s a machine shop, plain and simple. We make dies and tools for other businesses. The air always smells like cooling fluid and cut metal. It’s a loud place when the machines are running, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard. We’ve got lathes and milling machines that have seen a lot of use over the years. We aren't a big factory; it’s just a handful of us making sure the dimensions are correct. Precision is what matters most to us, even if the floor is covered in metal shavings. We spend our days looking at blueprints and adjusting settings on the machines. It’s a lot of standing on concrete, which can get tiring, but it’s the work we know. People from all over the Meerut Road area bring us their broken parts or their new designs. We don't have a fancy office for meetings; we usually just talk over the workbench. Sometimes a job is tricky and takes a lot of trial and error before the tool is exactly right. We don't mind that, it’s just part of the process. We’ve been here for years and the machines are like old friends. It’s honest, hard work and we take a bit of pride in seeing a finished die go out the door. No fancy talk here, just tools and the people who know how to use them.
