K V T Blue Metals

Our office is on the fourth floor at number 51, right along the Bypass Road. It is a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, but it gives us a good view of the traffic moving along the bypass. We deal in blue metals, which are basically the crushed stones used for making roads and building foundations. Most of our work involves coordinating between the quarries and the construction sites where the materials are needed. It’s a lot of time on the mobile phone and checking logistics schedules to make sure the trucks are where they are supposed to be. Since we are up on the fourth floor, we don't have the heavy stones right here in the room, which is probably for the best. We keep the books and handle the orders from this desk. The Bypass Road is always noisy with the sound of horns and engines, but you eventually stop noticing it after you’ve worked here for a few months. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation; we are just a small team trying to keep the supplies moving for the local projects. It can get stressful when a big job is starting and everyone wants their delivery at the same time, but we just take it one truck at a time. It’s a decent place to work, even if the office gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of paperwork piled up.
