Annai Velakani Switch & Sheet Cutting Works

We are over at No 70/1 in the Tiruchirappalli Fort area, specifically in Jeeva Nagar. The shop has been here for a good while now. Mostly, we spend our days working with switches and cutting sheets to size. It’s noisy work because the machines are always running and there's the sound of metal hitting the floor. The workshop isn't the biggest place, but it fits everything we need to get the jobs done. We handle a lot of different orders from people around Trichy who need specific sizes for their projects. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy with all the offcuts and metal scraps laying around, but we try to clear it out when we can. We don't really have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s just the workbench, the tools, and us. Most days it’s just the sound of the cutting blade and the radio playing in the background. We’ve been in Jeeva Nagar long enough that we know most of the people on this street. The lighting inside isn't great but it's enough to see what we're measuring. People just drop off their materials and tell us what they need, and we get to it. It’s hard work on the hands but it’s what we do. If you walk past the Fort area, you can usually hear us working away inside. It's a practical setup for the kind of cutting work we do every day for our customers.
