Akash Blue Metal

We are located right on Trichy Main Road, near Papapatty Village. If you see Saratha School, you’re pretty much there at number 105. It’s a dusty spot, but that’s the nature of working with blue metal and stone. We’ve been here a long time. The trucks come and go all through the day, hauling stuff for various construction projects nearby. My brother and I started this because there was a lot of building happening in the area and people needed materials close by. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small place to sit and talk to customers. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit of a mess, but we manage to keep things moving. It’s hard work, mostly outdoors, and you’re always covered in a bit of grit by the time you go home in the evening. We know most of the drivers by name now. They stop in for a chat or to check the prices for the week. The school nearby means we have to be extra careful with the traffic during certain hours of the day. It’s a busy road, always something happening out there. We just focus on getting the loads ready on time. Nothing too complicated about it. We’ve seen the village change a lot over the years, with more buildings and more people coming in. But we’re still here doing the same thing. It’s a living, and it keeps us busy enough.
