Velocity The Travel Company is based out of Panavoor, near Nedumangad. We aren't in the middle of a big city, which actually makes things a bit more relaxed for us. We handle all kinds of travel arrangements from this office. It’s mostly desks piled with flight itineraries, hotel brochures, and passports waiting for visas. We started this because we liked the idea of helping people from Thiruvananthapuram see more of the world, or even just get a bus ticket to the next town. We don’t have a team of hundreds, just a small group of us who know how to navigate the booking systems. Sometimes the computer systems are slow or a flight gets canceled, and that’s when we really earn our keep, sitting on the phone for hours to fix it. We don't use much fancy talk or big promises. We just tell people what the prices are and what the best dates look like. Our office in Panavoor is easy to find if you know the post office area. People usually just drop by to ask questions about their upcoming trips. We spend a lot of time double-checking names and dates because we know how much a mistake can cost someone. It’s a busy life, but it’s interesting to hear where everyone is going. We just keep our heads down and make sure the tickets are ready for whoever walks through the door next.
