Travel & Tours

Our office is the Kumarakath House, and you can’t really miss us because we’re right near the railway station in Koratty. It’s a very convenient spot for a business called Travel & Tours, since the trains are practically in our backyard. You can hear them pulling in and out all day long, which is a sound you just get used to after a week or so. We’re in Chalakudy, a part of Kerala that’s always busy with people moving around. The pin code is 680308. It’s not a shiny travel agency like you see in the malls. It’s more of a local hub where people drop in while they’re waiting for their train or just passing by. We have a few chairs for people to sit on while we look up their tickets or check on bus schedules. It gets a bit crowded when the weather is bad because everyone wants to get out of the rain. We handle a bit of everything, from local trips to longer journeys. The walls are covered in calendars and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves. It’s a bit disorganized at times, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just have a desk and a phone and a good knowledge of the local routes. It’s a plain, simple business that’s been here for a while now, right by the tracks. We enjoy the hustle and bustle of the station and the people we meet every day.
